This story broke my heart. Such a young life taken so soon. My thoughts and prays are with her and her family.

A 5-year-old who may have accidentally hanged herself has died.
Neighbors say Josephine Barrios was playing in her Elkhart garage when she somehow got strangled by a sock hanging from a hammock.
Emergency dispatchers first got the 911 call at 12:44pm Wednesday. Police say Josephine?s mother was in the house at the time of the incident.
Paramedics worked frantically to save Josephine?s life and rushed her to Elkhart General Hospital. She was transferred to Memorial Hospital in South Bend Wednesday night where she died Thursday afternoon.
