Not to much excitement for the day. Took Skylar to get her signed up for Headstart. She's really excited about going to school. She's got her school stuff already in her little backpack and school doesn't start for another 2 weeks. She got to meet her teacher today and they talked for awhile. She gave Skylar some worksheets to play around on and Skylar wrote her full name. She did spell her last name wrong by one letter, but the teacher was just amazed that she could even write it. Samantha told her that she likes to sit and watch Riley do his homework, so she learned a lot from just watching him. Skylar said no that Uncle Justin showed her. Justin helped her with writing her name. She told us that it was great that we are all helping in some way or another. They learn faster if you have different people helping. So Skylar really could get by without even going to preschool, but she also said it wouldn't hurt anything either. Skylar loves being around other kids her age so I think it will work out good. So that was pretty good news. We took her to DQ for a treat. When we got home she ran in the house and told Justin that the teacher said she was bright like a light bulb. It was so funny. She got her books and her and Justin sat there and work and colored in them for a while. It's great seeing her so excited about something, she just can't stop talking about it. Justin and I are heading to Walmart this afternoon and I'm going to pick her up some of those preshool books and Riley some for 2nd grade. For now I'm going to nap. Hope it has stopped raining by the time I get up.
